Denmark had 10.1 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 9.89 suicides per 100,000 people.
Of the 563 recorded suicide cases in 2010, 405 were men suicides and 158 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 14.7 per 100,000 men and for women 5.6 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Denmark suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 42 homicides in Denmark, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 13.4 suicides.
