Denmark has a very high suicide rate compared to other countries.
Of the 1,138 recorded suicide cases in 1992, 742 were men suicides and 396 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 29.1 per 100,000 men and for women 15.1 per 100,000 female. In spite of this, it is one of the countries with the highest female suicide rate in the world.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Denmark suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 62 homicides in Denmark, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 18.4 suicides.
