Of the 930 recorded suicide cases in 1995, 688 were men suicides and 242 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 31 per 100,000 men and for women 10.1 per 100,000 female.
Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Croatia suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 166 homicides in Croatia, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 5.6 suicides.
