There are 360 suicides per day in China

In 2011 occurred 131,546 suicides in China. This year, 109 fewer people committed suicide than in 2010. In 2011, on average 360 Chinese committed suicide every day.

China had 9.76 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.82 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 131,546 recorded suicide cases in 2011, 73,410 were women and 58,136 were men. More women than men die by suicide each year, and is among the few countries where the female rate is higher than the male rate.11.18 women per 100.000 female cause their own deaths and 8.42 men per 100.000 male..

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In China suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 12,015 homicides in China, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 10.9 suicides.
