Suicides fell in Bosnia and Herzegovina

By 2011, suicides in Bosnia and Herzegovina increased by 10 people to at 220 suicides

In Bosnia and Herzegovina there were 5.74 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.82 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 220 recorded suicide cases in 2011, 171 were men suicides and 49 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 9.12 per 100,000 men and for women 2.51 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Bosnia and Herzegovina suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 51 homicides in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 4.3 suicides.
