In Belize there were 6.05 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.89 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 19 recorded suicide cases in 2010, 15 were men suicides and 4 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 9.33 per 100,000 men and for women 2.76 per 100,000 female.

Suicide is a very important cause of death in the world and also in Belize. However, in Belize in 2010 there were there were 129 homicides, many more than suicides. There were 6.8 homicides per suicide.
