Trinidadians CPI increased up to 1.4% year-on-year in May of 2021

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Trinidad and Tobago in May of 2021 was 1.4%, 3 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.2%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2021 is 0.9%

We must highlight the increase of 0.8% in the prices of Food and non-alcoholic beverages, until its interannual rate reached 2.6%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Clothing and footwear of 0%, and an interannual variation of -3.5%.
