In October, vehicle registrations in United Kingdom grew by 1.98% with respect to October of 2017. In total, 187,380 cars were registered and 2,785,281 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 6.15% less than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of October is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 33,781, 32.25% more than in October of 2017.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 153,599, which represents a figure of 2.9% less than in October of 2017.

As can be seen, the number of registrations per thousand residents has grown in the last year. The increase in this figure is positive, as it generally indicates improved public confidence in the country's economy.
