In August, vehicle registrations in United Kingdom fell by 0.58% with respect to August of 2006. In total, 96,832 cars were registered and 2,765,547 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 0.14% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of August is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 19,183, 1.3% less than in August of 2006.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 77,649, which represents a figure of 0.4% less than in August of 2006.
