In 2015 Peru public debt was 41,675 million euros 46,238 million dollars, has increased 10,0624,240 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 24.04% of Peru GDP, a 3.35 percentage point rise from 2014, when it was 20.69% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Peru debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 24,049 million euros 29,919 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 39.96%.
According to the last data point published, Peru per capita debt in 2015 was 1,338 euros1,485 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 1,026 euros 1,364 dollars, afterwards rising by 312 euros121 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 884 euros1,101 dollars .
The position of Peru, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 25 in the list of debt to GDP and 75 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
