In 2016 Moldova public debt was 2,323 million euros 2,572 million dollars, has increased 6870 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 38.09% of Moldova GDP, a 0.44 percentage point fall from 2015, when it was 38.53% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Moldova debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 839 million euros 1,053 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 30.9%.
According to the last data point published, Moldova per capita debt in 2016 was 654 euros724 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 635 euros 704 dollars, afterwards rising by 19 euros20 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 234 euros294 dollars .
The position of Moldova, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 65 in the list of debt to GDP and 50 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
