In 2015 Georgia public debt was 5,224 million euros 5,796 million dollars, has increased 81265 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 41.5% of Georgia GDP, a 6 percentage point rise from 2014, when it was 35.5% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Georgia debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 2,058 million euros 2,561 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 40%.
According to the last data point published, Georgia per capita debt in 2015 was 1,404 euros1,558 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 1,183 euros 1,572 dollars, afterwards rising by 221 euros14 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 468 euros609 dollars .
The position of Georgia, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 79 in the list of debt to GDP and 77 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
