In 2015 Cyprus public debt was 18,964 million euros 21,041 million dollars, has increased 1453,960 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 108.90% of Cyprus GDP, a 0.70 percentage point rise from 2014, when it was 108.20% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Cyprus debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 9,502 million euros 11,822 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 63.20%.
According to the last data point published, Cyprus per capita debt in 2015 was 22,390 euros24,853 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 22,218 euros 29,526 dollars, afterwards rising by 172 euros4,673 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 12,772 euros15,797 dollars .
The position of Cyprus, as compared with the rest of the world, has remained in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 176 in the list of debt to GDP and 166 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
