In 2014 Cyprus public debt was 18,819 million euros 25,001 million dollars, has increased 300406 million since 2013.
This amount means that the debt in 2014 reached 107.50% of Cyprus GDP, a 5.30 percentage point rise from 2013, when it was 102.20% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Cyprus debt. It has risen since 2004 in global debt terms, when it was 8,963 million euros 11,149 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 64.70%.
According to the last data point published, Cyprus per capita debt in 2014 was 22,038 euros28,074 dollars per inhabitant. In 2013 it was 21,462 euros 27,901 dollars, afterwards rising by 576 euros173 dollars, and if we again check 2004 we can see that then the debt per person was 12,293 euros15,155 dollars .
The position of Cyprus, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2014 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 170 in the list of debt to GDP and 161 in debt per capita, out of the 179 we publish.
