The national debt increased in Belgium

In 2015 Belgium public debt was 438,505 million euros486,567 million dollars, has increased 7,12186,668 million since 2014.

This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 105.2% of Belgium GDP, a 1.8 percentage point fall from 2014, when it was 107% of GDP.

If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Belgium debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 294,975 million euros 367,178 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 95.1%.

According to the last data point published, Belgium per capita debt in 2015 was 38,768 euros43,017 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 38,389 euros 51,012 dollars, afterwards rising by 379 euros7,995 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 28,062 euros34,931 dollars .

The position of Belgium, as compared with the rest of the world, has remained in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 180 in the list of debt to GDP and 186 in debt per capita, out of the 191 we publish.
