In 2015 Bahamas public debt was 5,073 million euros 5,629 million dollars, has increased 1,191471 million since 2014.
This amount means that the debt in 2015 reached 64.44% of Bahamas GDP, a 4.25 percentage point rise from 2014, when it was 60.19% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Bahamas debt. It has risen since 2005 in global debt terms, when it was 1,740 million euros 2,168 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 29.3%.
According to the last data point published, Bahamas per capita debt in 2015 was 13,074 euros14,703 dollars per inhabitant. In 2014 it was 10,133 euros 13,542 dollars, afterwards rising by 2,941 euros1,161 dollars, and if we again check 2005 we can see that then the debt per person was 5,355 euros6,948 dollars .
The position of Bahamas, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2015 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 133 in the list of debt to GDP and 156 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
